The story of Mamas Kitchen Family Restaurant began long ago when a man named Mamas immigrated to America from Cyprus in 1968. Like a lot of immigrants he worked long days and nights as a dishwasher in restaurants, country clubs and nightclubs across New York. His dream was to own his own place someday but he knew he had to work his way up.

After thirty years of working to attain his goal he eventually opened a restaurant on Seminole Boulevard. The site was a former Sambo’s in the late 1970’s and after several other restaurateurs tried and failed, the building sat vacant for years. This vacant building on a major North/South road was the perfect opportunity for Mamas to reach for his dream. With the help of his family he seized the chance and opened Mamas Kitchen. Open for over ten years the Seminole location is owned and operated by his son Tony and his cousin Chris.

The best possible inventory is used in all meal preparation with items purchased from reputable companies that pride themselves in quality first, price second just like Mamas Kitchen. The restaurant business remains very competitive and to succeed the customer must receive quality and value for their money. Mamas’ customers find both seven days a week where they’re serving up fabulous breakfast, lunch and dinner menus at a fair price.
